I studied classics at Harvard and Oxford.
I’ve read a Lot of Latin and Greek, especially didactic poetry – poetry meant to educate people. I’m fascinated by how much has not really changed over the past 2,000 years, even if our preferred literary formats have.
Today I'm a board member at the Paideia Institute, an incredible organization that promotes the study of Latin and Greek in a bunch of ways. I am lucky to be involved with the institute, and I focus in particular on its technology strategy.
I once gave a speech to a crowd of thousands, entirely in Latin.
(I had hat-hair and YouTube commenters criticized my pronunciation 🎓🤷🏻♂️)
